Les marqueurs de discours en gbaya

Abstract : In gbaya, all reported dialogue is direct. The author first présents the personal pronouns which are used to refer to the very speaker (S1) and shows the specific effect of the logophoric pronouns that can be used to corefer the gramatical subject of the content of the discourse and the very speaker. Then she presents the different markers of discourse which are based on three elements which has different way to refer the speaker to the very speaker : one of them ndé marks an identification (S = S1), another one ná a differenciation (S ≠ S1), and the third one hèè a rupture (S ω S1). Then she examines their use and the use of the derived or combinated forms they give. After, she points out that some of these markers are used with introductive verbs, just before the completive proposition. All these procedures structure the sentence on two interdependant parts which are no hierachically dependant as subordinative, and nor sequentiel as coordinative but put the whole as a complete sentence.
