La perception des unités sémiotiques modales chez des enfants libanais de 8 à 12 ans

Abstract : This article explores the auditory perception that children have through modal semiotic data that are the formulary and distinctive units (pitches separated according to their membership of modal nucleus) and the underlying modal nuclear lines. The analysis of results of a field survey conducted in 2011, amongst 160 Lebanese children aged 8 to 12 years old, allows to verify the existence of cognitive skills in terms of (1) perception of the deep structural identity of different monodic modal musical statements by their covering surface, (2) recognition of the final (pitch) change as a relevant data, (3) assessment of deep grammatical modal lines.
